# Pricing — makeup.land

makeup.land is an Israeli B2C professional cosmetics shop. There is no
subscription product — customers pay per item. This page summarises every
monetary surface so AI agents can answer "what does X cost on
makeup.land?" without guessing.

## 1. Product pricing

- Currency: **Israeli Shekel (ILS, ₪)**. Display always ends in 2-decimal
  agorot precision (e.g. ₪99.90).
- VAT-inclusive on the retail price for Israeli customers. VAT-exempt
  customers (tax-ID validated) see net-of-VAT pricing through the same
  surfaces.
- Per-product price range: roughly **₪10 – ₪800** for individual SKUs;
  professional kits and palettes sit at the upper end.

### Sale / discount semantics

- `compare_at_price` on a variant > `price` means the item is on sale.
- Sale price is what the customer pays; `compare_at_price` is the
  reference / "was" price.

## 2. ℳ-credit dual-tender wallet

Some variants carry a `credit_price` (integer agorot in the ℳ-credit
wallet) and can be purchased entirely in credits. Variants where
`credit_price IS NULL` are ILS-only.

ℳ-credits can also be combined with gift cards and rewards redemption in a
single order — see Section 3.

## 3. M Club rewards

Tag-based earn rules: customer tags × product tags decide the earn rate
(first-match-wins, `*` wildcard). Default earn rate without a more
specific rule: **5% of the ILS leg** of every paid order, credited as
ℳ-credits.

Individual catalog tags can override the rate per product (`high-margin`
products may earn at 8% even for regular customers, for example).

### Earn lifecycle

- Earn fires on `payment.completed` (one payment ≠ one order; the
  earn fires per payment, but each order earns at most once due to a
  per-order idempotency key).
- Refunds claw back proportionally (`refundAmount / order.total`).
- Cancellations claw back inline.
- Welcome bonus: **ℳ10** on the first phone-verified registration via
  the WhatsApp channel or admin manual create. The public `/api/checkout`
  path and bulk `POST /api/v1/customers` deliberately do **not** mint
  welcome bonuses.
- Referral chain: ℳ50 for `upgrade_pro` (once per customer); referral
  signup + PRO + cascade rules configurable in admin.

### Redemption

ℳ-credits redeem at parity (ℳ1 = ₪1) in two ways:

- **As ILS discount** — apply credits to reduce an ILS-priced order
  total. No items become free unless the wallet covers 100% of the order.
- **As tender** — buy a variant whose `credit_price` is non-NULL
  entirely in ℳ-credits. The order's ILS leg drops to zero for those lines.

## 4. Shipping & delivery

Each delivery method has one price and one delivery time, set by the shop
and quoted at checkout (ILS, VAT included). Delivery is free when the
order reaches the "free from" amount. The live list, as JSON:

## 5. API access

Tokens are issued against `api_tokens` with a scope and `read_only`
flag. Rate limits documented per-endpoint in the OpenAPI spec at
[`https://makeup.land/openapi.json`](https://makeup.land/openapi.json). There is no
paid API tier today.

## 6. Refunds

- Card refunds: original payment instrument, 5–10 business days.
- ℳ-credit refunds: instant to wallet.
- Gift-card refunds: balance restored to the originating card.
- Refund-via-credit (when card refund isn't possible): wallet credit at
  parity, customer opt-in.
